In a fast-paced world our heroes must develop adaptable skills such as: leadership, entrepreneurship, S.M.A.R.T goals, healthy habits, learning techniques and more.
Learner-driven critical thinking
We try not to answer but to provide the right questions. We help children find the answers by themselves by encouraging critical thinking. Our goal is to find their interests and make learning a seamless experience.
More guiding and less teaching
We don’t act as authoritative figures, we try to build a personal relationship. More than teachers we are guides that coach our heroes to get to know themselves and build a positive learning community!
Our Team
Nathalie Toro
Nathalie Toro (also Domingo’s wife) Co-founder at Acton Academy Miami South, with a bachelor’s in Psychology and currently pursuing a Master’s in Education at ASU. After finishing her B.A., she started working with kids with special needs between 3-10 years old working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she practiced Applied Behavior Analysis for 3 years. During this time she launched Acton Miami South with her husband and refocused her graduate studies in Education; following her dreams of teaching since very young. Her patience, background and love for kids makes her a perfect fit for a learner-driven education model as our Main Guide.
Domingo Mirabal
Domingo Mirabal (also Nathalie’s husband) is the Co-founder at Acton Academy Miami South, he’s an avid entrepreneur and loves building online solutions and developing new projects. After majoring in business Domingo has spent the most of his career in direct selling, web development and project management. Domingo has 10+ year experience managing large multi-age groups as a camp counselor and loves singing running and Crossfit!
